Adaptive Paddling

MPS instructors have the training and experience to help you enjoy the water.

Each person is different and in paddle sports, it is how things fit and work with your body that really make a difference. Our lead instructor has over 13 years experience working with people with physical limitations and can help you or a loved one get on the water. It is not about what you can’t do but what you CAN do that matters.

Our goal is to create a supportive and safe adaptation that allows each paddler the ability to paddle their boat with or without assistance. We utilize only latex free supports and both sit on top and recreationa/sea tandem kayaks. .

Whether you want to paddle on a calm bay or lake, or check out our beautiful coastline, we can help.

We also encourage friends and family to get involved with you for your paddling adventures. Please contact us so we can help get you on the water in a safe and supportive manner.

Momentum Paddle Sports proudly supports the Cal Poly Adapted Paddling Program.

Our lead instructor, Tom Reilly, was nominated in 2009 and 2011 for the Paul Wolffe Accessibility award. http://www.sloccf.org/grant_pwaa.php and presented at the 2013 National Paddle Sports Conference on Adaptive paddling.
